• It’s finally Christmas break and I’m done for the semester. Sunday I’m off to Gatlinburg, Tennessee for a mini-vacation and will be gone until Friday. I’ll be sure to take lots of pictures and post some when I get back next weekend. Speaking of which, it’s been snowing all day and on the way to dinner I took a couple of pictures with my camera phone. That’s the picture you see above. I know I normally don’t post my own pictures, but I haven’t seen a good snow in so long and it was gorgeous… did anyone notice the Christmas lights in the background? We may actually get a White Christmas this year, I’m just hoping we don’t get snowed in while we’re in Gatlinburg. In the meantime, keep the pictures coming – I will post them soon!

  • Aspire and Desire has made a form where you can send your pictures and information directly from here! It is on the right hand side located directly under the “about me” section. Go check it out!!

  • Piano and voice juries were yesterday. I performed one of my all-time favorite pieces: Ave Maria. I found a video, and although it’s not my absolute favorite, it will do. Hope you enjoy.

Ave Maria performed by Celtic Woman

  • I have received a few awards from Linda and Jacqueline, and haven’t got them posted yet. Thank you both.

I hope everyone has a great weekend!

Dearest Rhi – Thank you for your nomination. How sweet of you. I so remember juries and awaiting critques. I sure you were wonderful! I will say to you what the great soprano, Leontyne Price, said to me, “Jump on in. The water’s fine.” Thank you so much for the beautiful rendition of Ave Marie. What sweetness! What purity of tone and spirit. Thanks again!

Cairo, I love snow, but I’d like it much more if I didn’t have to drive in it. But it does make for a beautiful photo. Thanks for stopping by.
